Sexual Abuse & Molestation Prevention Policy

1. Purpose & Commitment

PYLON 7on7 FOOTBALL LLC (“PYLON”) is committed to providing a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all participants. PYLON maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward sexual abuse, sexual misconduct, or molestation of any kind.

This policy is designed to:

  • Protect minor athletes and participants
  • Establish clear standards of conduct
  • Prevent opportunities for abuse
  • Ensure prompt reporting and response to allegations

2. Scope

This policy applies to all PYLON activities, including but not limited to:

  • Tournaments, camps, combines, and events
  • Practices and training sessions
  • Travel or lodging related to events
  • Any digital or in-person communication related to PYLON

Covered individuals include:

  • Coaches
  • Staff
  • Volunteers
  • Contractors
  • Officials
  • Any adult interacting with participants

3. Definitions

  • Sexual Abuse or Molestation: Any sexual activity, contact, or exploitation involving a minor, including verbal, physical, visual, or electronic misconduct.
  • Minor: Any participant under the age of 18.
  • One-on-One Interaction: Any situation where an adult is alone with a minor without observable and interruptible supervision.

4. Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Any sexual contact or sexualized behavior with a minor
  • Inappropriate touching, comments, jokes, or gestures
  • Private one-on-one interactions without supervision
  • Sharing sexual content (verbal, written, or digital)
  • Private electronic communication without parental awareness
  • Isolated meetings in locker rooms, vehicles, or hotel rooms

5. Supervision & Interaction Guidelines

To reduce risk and ensure transparency:

  • PYLON enforces an observable and interruptible environment
  • No adult shall be alone with a minor when avoidable
  • Group supervision is required at all times
  • Locker rooms and restrooms are monitored appropriately
  • Parents/guardians are encouraged to remain present at events

6. Background Checks

Where required or practicable, PYLON conducts background checks on:

  • Coaches
  • Staff
  • Volunteers
  • Event personnel with direct athlete contact

Individuals with a history of sexual misconduct are strictly prohibited from participation.

7. Training & Awareness

PYLON ensures that staff and volunteers are informed of:

  • This Sexual Abuse & Molestation Policy
  • Appropriate conduct standards
  • Mandatory reporting obligations
  • Procedures for recognizing and preventing abuse

8. Reporting Procedures

Any suspicion, allegation, or disclosure of sexual abuse or misconduct must be reported immediately.

Reports may be made to:

  • PYLON event leadership
  • Local law enforcement
  • Child Protective Services (when required)

There is no retaliation for good-faith reporting.

9. Response & Enforcement

Upon receiving a report:

  • Immediate steps will be taken to ensure participant safety
  • The accused individual may be suspended pending investigation
  • PYLON will cooperate fully with law enforcement and authorities

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Immediate removal from events
  • Permanent ban from PYLON activities
  • Legal action when applicable

10. Policy Acknowledgment

All coaches, staff, volunteers, and contractors are required to comply with this policy as a condition of participation with PYLON 7on7 FOOTBALL LLC.

11. Policy Review

This policy is reviewed periodically and updated as needed to maintain compliance with best practices, legal requirements, and insurance standards.
