Name/Location/Date/Time of film for evaluation – Jaron Willis 2020 – Hudl – 1/5/2021 – 6m 07sec

Physical Attributes – Jaron is put together at 6’2 220lbs.  He is a great athlete for his size and thickness.  A twitchy athlete who can run and change direction.  Those types of physical attributes are hard to come by.  He has great balance and body control.  He can burst and accelerate like a much smaller guy.  He is an explosive player and can play sideline to sideline with his speed and range.

Position Specific Skills – Jaron is a very instinctive player who exhibits elite range and overall athletic ability for his size and thickness.  With excellent balance and body control and the ability to change direction.  He can run for his size with great burst and acceleration when he pulls the trigger.  A knock back tackler, who shows the toughness  you want to see.  He also is a great blitzer and can come off the edge.  An added skill is that he can cover.  He can be a 4 down LB with high production at the next level.

Overall – With his height and thickness right now, I project Jaron as a Will backer or a Mike backer in the future.  To be that hybrid type you need more length to line up at DE.  Don’t get me wrong, Jaron is a freak athlete and has the toughness to be a top SEC type LB.  I project him to be in the 6’2-6’3 range at 240-255lbs.  Even at that size I see him with the ability to play sideline to sideline and to be able to change direction and tackle in space.  He can also cover, being a former safety.  Those are tangible you don’t see every day.  Jaron has a high ceiling and can be an all conference player at the power 5 level with drafability.  I am in shock that the University of Georgia has not got him committed and is not in his top 5.
