Physical Attributes – Quinn has good height and length. Thick lowers. Shows he has good balance in pass drops. Has twitch and light feet while making reads in the pocket. Is a solid athlete but not dynamic with the ball in his hand in space. More of a power read runner vs a zone read. He is a willing runner that will keep defenses honest. Not a burner but fast and athletic enough to make plays with his feet.
Position Specific Skills – Pro Style QB who has decent mobility and enough athletic ability to keep defenses honest. Really good feet and set up, up right and tight in his drops. Solid mechanics, pronates the ball, and shows a good delivery. Can throw from different angles and keep the zip and accuracy he needs. Shows good torque when throwing the ball and has excellent arm strength. He can make all the throws. Shows to have above average accuracy and has excellent touch, especially on deep his deep throws. You can see him reading his key and going through his progressions in his drops. Looks to be very instinctive as a football player and is an excellent decision maker with excellent pocket awareness. You can tell his is a tough kid who is willing to do what it takes to make a play.
Overall – Quinn has all the tools to be a top QB at the Power 5 level and beyond. He exhibits the tools that that it takes to be successful at the professional level. His work ethic, ability to read defenses quickly, ability to get the ball out quickly, ability to throw in tight windows (which you don’t often see on his film) and to be productive on 3rd down (and when the game is on the line) will determine his ceiling at the next level. The last quality he must have, will be his ability to be a leader of men.
