Name/Location/Date/Time of film for evaluation –  Sophomore highlights - 247 sports – 3/7/20 – 3m 37sec

Physical Attributes –  Based off the first 2 plays of his film, anyone can see that Deyon can run!  He is a very fluid athlete and runs as if he is taking a walk in the park.  What he does is difficult and he makes it look absolutely effortless.  He has average height with a lean body that is not overly long.  He shows great twitch and short area quickness as well.  He exhibits elite burst and acceleration along with great balance and body control.   He has the physical tools to play on either side of the ball as well as being a returner on special teams.

Position Specific Skills –  Being regarded as an “Athlete” and not knowing whether he is a DB or a WR I will incorporate the skills it takes to play on both sides of the ball.  Let’s start with the most important skills.  He can run really fast and can change direction.  He does both those things at a high level.  He is twitchy and shows short area quickness.  He shows he can change direction and he can make people miss.  He drops his weight on cuts and can some in and out of his back pedal with a smooth transition.  He can adjust to the ball and has the hands to make the catch.   He has all the tools.

Overall –  Deyon is smooth as silk.  As fluid as an athlete as you will find.  He is very instinctive and always a step ahead when he has the ball in his hands.  He is an explosive athlete who is very productive vs really good competition.  He needs to develop in the weight room and as he gains size and strength he will pull away from the competition at a faster rate.  Gaining size and strength will also help him to say healthy, which is hugely important.  He has a huge upside and must grind to reach his full potential, at whatever position he lands at.  I could see him as a CB/Punt/Kick Returner type with some gadget plays on offense or a slot WR who also Punt/Kick returner type.  Time will tell but always remember speed kills and ability to change direction kills.  That speed he has and instinctiveness will take him a long way.
