2022 – WR – Evan Stewart – Liberty HS, TX – 6’ / 175

247 Rank:  National - 40 / WR - 5 / TX – 8

Commitment – Un-Decided

Name/Location/Date/Time of film for evaluation –  Season Highlights – 12/16/20 – 7m 31sec

Physical Attributes –  Let’s start with this so you can get an idea of what we are dealing with:  Verified Track Results: 47.9 triple jump,  24.6 long jump, 10.74 100m, and a 21.08 200m, all verified in 2020.  Evan is an ELITE athlete with true SPEED.  He is a football player running track.  He exhibits elite burst/get off, acceleration, play speed and long speed.  He can drop his weight and change direction.  He has excellent balance and body control and he shows crazy burst and explosiveness.  He does all this with ease.  His route running ability is above average.  He exhibits soft hands and can jump to win the one on one balls.  Evan has good enough height and length to be put in the slot or at outside WR.  He is also a lean 175lbs with a body that can gain some muscle weight and hopefully get over 190-200lbs when it is all said and done.   His physical attributes will only get better with time and age.

Position Specific Skills –   In terms of position specific skills, Evan is elite in almost every phase.  His initial quickness/get off is impressive and powerful.   He adds to that the ability to drop his weight in his route progression, and can accelerate after cuts with elite explosiveness.  He is a threat all over the field whether that be on a slip screen, a reverse or a 9 cut.  On the run after catch he shows that he can out run everyone.  Using his vision and speed he is dynamic after the catch.  He can stick his foot in the ground to make people miss and then its off to the races.  I would like to see more blocking and what he does when the balls goes away from him.  Those kinds of skills will only enhance his game.

Overall –  Speed kills.  He is a football player that can run track.  Tons of WOW plays on his film.  A dynamic player who will make plays at the power 5 level.  He is an offensive coordinators dream.  Can line up and do multiple things at an elite level.  When he matures he is going to be a nightmare for defenses.  He will occupy 2 guys.  If not he has the ability to make a house call on any given play.  One of the top, physically gifted athletes in his class.  I would be shocked to see 39 better, faster, more athletic players in America!!
