2022 – WR – Tyler Morris – Nazareth Academy, IL – 6’0 / 175
247 Rank: National - 75 / WR - 11 / IL – 2
Commitment – Undecided
Name/Location/Date/Time of film for evaluation – Sophomore Year Varsity Highlights – Hudl – 5/22/2020 – 10m 23sec
Physical Attributes – Tyler has decent size and thickness. He shows good balance and body control, get off, burst and acceleration. Has really good straight-line and game speed. He has excellent hands. Don’t know how fast and quick he is, the 10m film shows he can run, no question, but the competition doesn’t verify the true speed.
Position Specific Skills – Tyler possesses great hand and shows great spatial awareness. He has great balance and body control. He has the ability to stick his foot in the ground at full speed to create separation at the top of the route. That is very impressive. He shows good play speed, is a bit straight-line, and great after the catch. Would like to know exactly how fast he is. He can adjust to the ball in the air, great spatial awareness and has great hands. He looks like a very instinctive football player being a step ahead of the defender. Not a big make you miss guy but can create separation with a lean at full speed. Would like to see more blocking
Overall – The film doesn’t lie. A 10 minute highlight is very impressive. Tyler does a lot of things very well. He is an elite route runner with the ability to stick his foot in the ground at full speed and then burst to create separation. Not all WR’s can do that. He has great, great vision and is very instinctive. He understands the game and how to get open and can then use his game speed to out run his competition. No knowing, for sure, how fast and quick Tyler is gives me a little hesitation in his ranking, but outside of that he is a really productive good football player that will be productive at the power 5 level.
