2022 – CB – Jaylon Guilbeau – Memorial, TX – 6’0 / 175

247 Rank:  National - 134 / CB - 13 / TX – 21

Commitment – Texas

Name/Location/Date/Time of film for evaluation – Junior Season – Hudl – 12/14/20 – 4m 18sec

Physical Attributes –  Decent size and length with some upper body thickness.  Shows excellent twitch, balance, body control and feet.  Good play speed with average long speed.  Only times I have seen is a 4.25 40 in January of 2020 at the Nike Opening Combine.  Has good upper body strength and toughness.  Can change direction really well.

Position Specific Skills – Jaylon shows the ability to play the deep part of the field and can make plays on the ball.  He can play both man and zone concepts.  Uses his elite twitch and excellent technique to make a ton of plays on the ball.  With excellent feet, balance, body control and twitch along with great hips he can open and run and change direction to mirror the WR.  He is a excellent tackler, can tackle in the open field as well.  He is a very instinctive, tough football player. He plays with a high motor shows he is a competitor

Overall – Jaylon make with his lack of long speed and length with his twitch, game speed, effort and toughness, and ability to change direction.  A tough, good football player who can impact a game at CB.  He shows excellent technique and the ability to come out of his backpedal with burst and acceleration.  I like him as a football player.  He shows he has explosive power with his 10’ broad jump.  He needs to max out on his long speed to take the next step to being a top tier power 5 CB.  If he can do that and continue to master the CB skills he will be well on his way to being productive in the Big12.
