Physical Attributes – CJ is put together. A thick body with excellent height and length. He shows at both LB and RB that he can run really well for his size. He has good feet, twitch, balance and body control. He shows explosive power and can a change direction well. A strong football player who exhibits excellent overall athleticism. Could physically top out at 6’2- 6’3 / 240-350 range as he body continues to develop.
Position Specific Skills – CJ is a very instinctive football player on both sides of the ball has field awareness. He shows he has strength at the point of attack and is excellent in block protection. He possesses the ability to change direction with his excellent balance and body control. He also shows good initial burst and acceleration. CJ runs really well for his 220lb frame but not elite. He also is an excellent tackler, can tackle in space and shows that he can be a wreck to deal with when he blitzes/pass rushes. He has the skill and size to be a prototypical inside linebacker.
Overall – Cj is a tough, instinctive 2 way football player that is very productive. He projects as a prototypical SEC type inside linebacker. His ability to see the play and pull the trigger sticks out. The size to speed, his toughness and strength is above average. Must work on short area quickness and the ability to cover RB’s to take that next step.
