Physical Attributes – Fabian has solid size and length off the Sophomore film. He exhibits elite twitch, short area quickness, feet, balance and body control. He also shows really great burst, acceleration and play speed. An explosive athlete that has great physical attributes for Sophomore. As he continues to grow into his body, and he gets bigger, stronger and faster, the sky will be the limit for Fabian. His overall athletic ability is impressive.
Position Specific Skills – Fabian is an impressive CB who exhibits all the skills it takes to play the position at a high level. His feet, twitch, balance and body control, burst, acceleration, play/catch up speed, ability to play both man and zone concepts is clearly evident on film. He is a refined, well coached CB, especially for his age. He can burst and accelerate out of cuts and out of his backpedal to close on defenders. He shows toughness when tackling and can tackle in open space. He can change direction really well. He does show he has good hands. Along with all those physical traits, Fabian shows he is a very instinctive football player who also exhibits great field awareness.
Overall – I like Fabian a lot at the CB position. Off this exposure he shows he has elite skills to cover and play zone concepts and the instinctiveness and toughness you want to see. One of the top cover guys I have seen on film in his class. I am looking forward to seeing what he is in 3 years. My guess is he will be one of the best cover guys in the PAC12 when it's all said and done. Not knowing his exact size, speed and quicks give me questions to be answered but does not affect my overall thoughts on his ceiling.
