Name/Location/Date/Time of film for evaluation – Jerry Cross Sophomore Highlights– Hudl – 5/3/2020 – 2m 47sec

Physical Attributes –  Elite height and length.  Thick frame that can hold more weight.  Can see him developing into a true TE body.  Has really good balance and body control and overall athleticism for size.  Can adjust body to the ball in the air.   Changes direction and shows good play speed for size as well.  Looking forward to seeing him in 3 years.  The limited film I am evaluating on is Sophomore film.

Position Specific Skills –  A true TE body that plays outside WR in a spread offense.  Projecting to TE Jerry shows he has very good initial quickness with the ability to separate.  He has good hands and spatial awareness to adjust to the ball in the air.  A very good route runner for size with very good hands.  Can be a red zone threat.  His balance and body control is above average for size that allows him to drop his weight on routes.  Excellent after the catch with good play speed and vision to make plays.  .

Overall – Jerry is a very intriguing prospect that I must rely on projections, physically, to gauge what he will be and how good he will be.  He possesses a prototypical TE body with above average athletic ability.  He runs really well for size who makes hard things look easy.  The question is what size will he top out at and does he possess the toughness it takes to be a dominant blocker to develop into a top tier power 5 TE.  Penn State obviously thinks so and so do I.  In time Jerry will be an elite TE.
