2022 – WR - Samuel Mbake – Brookwood, GA – 6’3 / 205

247 Rank:  National - 264 / WR - 36 / GA– 26

Commitment – Undecided

Name/Location/Date/Time of film for evaluation – Sophomore Year - 2/6/2020 - 3m 45sec

Physical Attributes – Sam has height and a thick, strong body.  He shows decent twitch, balance and body control and initial burst and acceleration.  Not an elite runner but shows good play speed.  Is athletic for his thickness.  Not an overly explosive player

Position Specific Skills – Sam is an outside WR who relies on his size and ability to get into his route to create separation and make plays.  He can stab his foot at the top of his route and is good with run after catch with his powerful, long strides.  Not a very elusive player with long speed but more of a refined route runner that uses his strength and hands to make plays vs smaller defenders.  He can be a red zone threat with his ability to win the one on one balls.  Has the size and strength to be an above average blocker.

Overall –  A big bodied, possession WR who uses his size and strength to overpower smaller defenders.  Lacks the elite speed you look for but makes up for it with his route running ability.  Is good after the catch with his strength and effort and decent play speed.  Another Anquon Boldin type WR that is very productive.  Has a big catch radius and is a natural catcher.
