2022 – LB – Melvin Jordan – IMG, FL – 6’0 / 215

247 Rank:  National - 267 / LB - 21 / FL – 32

Commitment – Undecided

Name/Location/Date/Time of film for evaluation – Season Highlights– Hudl – 11/12/2019 – 2m 55 sec

Physical Attributes – Melvin has decent height and has thick lowers.  A player that relies on solid athletic ability and the toughness and thickness to play ILB at the next level.  His body will fill out to be in the 225 range.  Good feet and twitch and can play sideline to sideline.   Athletic for thickness.

Position Specific Skills – Melvin shows excellent instincts and field awareness from the backer position.  He shows strength at the point of attack and is excellent in block protection.  He has good twitch, balance and body control to go along with good burst and acceleration.  Not a burner but solid play speed to make plays sideline to sideline.  He can blitz inside or out and can pass rush when asked to.

Overall – Melvin will develop physically into a MLB type body.  He is a very instinctive player with solid twitch and athleticism.  He can shed blockers and can tackle in space.  Shows the toughness and field awareness you want at an inside backer.  A high effort guy who makes plays sideline to sideline.   I see Melvin as a glue type player who will be productive and a multi year starter at the next level.
