2022 – QB – Blaine Hipa – James Campbell, HI – 6’2 / 176

247 Rank:  National - 1071 / QB - 47  / HI – 5

Commitment – Undecided

Name/Location/Date/Time of film for evaluation – Season Highlights - Hudl - 10/27/2019 - 9m 15sec

Physical Attributes – Blaine has good height and length and has a thick frame.  He is athletic enough to keep defenses honest.  He can tuck it and run but is not dynamic or elite with the ball in his hands.  He possesses solid arm strength.

Position Specific Skills – Blaine shows he has good foot quicks but must work on his set up in the pocket in the pass game. He tends to push the ball at times and has a bit of a wind up but can be fixed with coaching and repetition.  His accuracy is solid and he also has solid velocity but not elite with both.  He is a mobile QB that can use his feet and athleticism to keep defenses honest.  He is a tough kid that can still deliver the ball while taking a hit in the pocket.  His toughness shows on film.

Overall – Blaine is a productive pro-style QB who threw for 2015yds - 15 TD’s as a Sophomore.  He shows he is athletic enough to weave his way around the pass rush and makes plays outside the pocket through the air and on the ground.  He is an instinctive player who seems to make good decisions off this exposure.  Blaine must work on feet/set up in the pocket and his overall mechanics which will help his accuracy and ball velocity.
