Physical Attributes – Steve has excellent height and thick lowers.  He is put together well.  He is athletic enough to keep defenses honest.  Runs fairly well but not dynamic with the ball in his hands.  Looks like he can be a power read/prostyle type QB off his physical attributes.  He has decent balance and body control and feet.  Looks a little like Ian Book physically.

Position Specific Skills –  Steve shows good foot quicks and set up with good pocket awareness and mobility.  He has solid mechanics but needs to work on accuracy and get above 65%.  He shows the arm strength to make all the throws and to throw on the run as well.  A very instinctive player who looks to make good decisions on this exposure.  His athletic ability is solid but not elite.  Steve also shows he is a tough kid who like to compete.

Overall – Steve was 68/119 (59%) with 9 TD’s in 6 games, in his junior year.  You would like to see more stats and accuracy from him at the high school level.  He is a steady QB that looks like can manage a game.  He is athletic enough to move around the pocket and extend plays.  Not dynamic with the ball but good enough to keep defenses honest.  He can throw from the pocket and on the run.  Has a solid delivery and can make all the throws.  Nice tough on his long ball.  Will be a good fit for the ND offensive scheme.   He is also a kicker as well.
