Physical Attributes – David has good height, is lean and has long levers. He is fairly twitchy and has decent balance and body control. He shows he can run, straight line. His burst and acceleration is excellent. He can turn on the jets and fully open up and can leave people behind. Not a make you miss type guy but a long strider, one cut, hit the seam and go WR.
Position Specific Skills – David shows good feet, initial quickness and balance and body control. He excels with his burst and acceleration. He shows good long speed but is not quite there yet (He is only a Freshman on this film) but has the tools to be elite. He has good hands and can adjust to the ball. Not much make you miss after the catch he just tries to outrun you. He will be a deep threat in the future. He must work on getting bigger, stronger, faster to enhance his traits and to be able to block. He also must work on dropping his weight and bursting and accelerating after cuts. Once he gets there watch out.
Overall – This is a tough one viewing off Freshman film from 2 years ago. But at the end of the day to have any production, as a skill player, in Dade County is impressive with all the talent and competition there. It is visible that David has the body, tools and God given talent to be something special. He shows at times to be mechanical and unsure but there is no question he is a long athlete who can run, straight line, really fast. It is going to take hard work in the weight room and hard work perfecting his craft of route running but once he matures I can see what the results can be.
